We used many current English versions of the I Ching, as well as a popular Mandarin Chinese version, as references for our interpretation. There are many varied interpretations of the I Ching, in many languages, including many in Chinese. There is no one original text. Our objective was to create a easy to understand modern version.

The Mandarin version we used as reference agrees with most of the English versions for the majority of the hexagram interpretations, but varies in a fair number of the line interpretations. We made the editorial decision to stay closer to the Chinese interpretation.

If you have your own favorite version you would like to use, you can modify the readings in our book editor. You can also use any text editor if you keep the formating codes.
