![]() QUETZALCOATL AND TEZCOTLIPOCA by anonymous Mayan group
This letter was sent to Miguel Ruiz from a Mayan group in 1996 who at the time was teaching his students
that Tezcotlipoca was a saint. The poor English was edited, but not the content.
In the ancient time there was the city of Tula where Quetzalcoatl (Plummed Serpent)
always young, based his kingdom of wisdom and arts. Toltecs, (artists) lived there in
a sort of paradise city protected from land full of warrior nomads and their invasions.
The wisdom of Quetzalcoatl has compared to that of King David. Quetzalcoatl was
the first to rise every morning and lead his people to a day of wonder and knowledge.
Everyone lived in peace, until one day a sorcerer with smoking mirror appeared in the
market place. The mirror was covered and the sorcerer created little men that
danced around the mirror. In wonder, the people gathered around the sorcerer and
asked what was it that he conceled. His answer was that, only the great Quetzalcoatl
could see this. Therefore, they led him to the palace. In the palace the guards stopped
him and said to give them the package. The disguised Tezcatlipoca told them that only
Quetzacoatl could see it.
With more magic tricks he convinced them to let him pass. Once in front of
Quetzalcoatl, he uncovered the smoking mirror, Quetzalcoatl saw that the mirror
was the moon reflecting a face image an old man that resembled Quetzalcoatl.
Because Quetzalcoatl had never seen a mirror before, he asked who it was?
Tezcatlipoca responded that is you, that is why I only could show it to you.
Quetzacoatl fell for the trick, and sadenned he started to drink Tezcatlipoca's
brew that make him drunk. While drunk, Tezcaltlipoca suggested that he should
bring his sister and make her drink too. The two got very drunk and next day
were unable to rise in the morning, they where so sick that neither next day
where able to rise. By this the people where very worried and mad at the
sorcerer Tezcatlipoca.
Tezcatlipoca hypnotized the young people of Tula with his flute playing. He
enticed the children to dance together, though it was forbidden for males and
females to dance together then. The children became wild and drunk with the
bliss of Tezcatlipoca. They followed him out of the town to the edge of a cliff
where in their hypnotic state, Tezcatlipoca led them to fall to their deaths.
The Toltecs got hold of Tezcatlipoca and killed him in the middle of the market.
His body immediately produced a great stench poisoned several citizens. In despair, t
hey consulted their wizards and magicians but only Quetzalcoatl whom had only just
recovered knew what to do. He realized that they were being tricked by his old rival
Tezcatlipoca, lord of darkenss. The people from Tula sang the song of Tezcatlipoca
which made the body float across the city killing more people until finally it was led
into an abyss.
Quetzalcoatl, saddened by all this, abdicated as a king of the Toltecs and went on
a journey towards the east (Veracruz).
As you see, you people (meaning Ruiz) are in the dark side of sorcery; Tezcatlipoca was always jealous of Queztalcoatl's creation. During the time of the gods, Tezcatlipoca, did not wait to be elected as a creator but he went ahead and did his own brutal creation. We, those in touch with ancient Mayan and Toltec teachings, believe that the age old Dinosaurs were the creation of Tezcatlipoca. The creation of man is under the custody of Quetzalcoatl in Toltec culture, Hunapu and Izbalanque in Mayan culture. Therefore please beware that the power you want to acquire under Tezcatlipoca, in the end is against man.
